African Christians Fellowship International
African Christians Fellowship International is an independent, evangelical, indigenous church and church-planting fellowship. The fellowship comprises about 280 indigenous churches in seven countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria) of the sub-Saharan region of West Africa. The fellowship is dedicated to reaching the continent of Africa and humanity with the gospel of Jesus Christ in fulfillment of the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Founded in 1986, by Rev. T. Edward Kofi, ACFI has become God's instrument for reaching multitudes of lost souls with the gospel message. ACFI has nine areas of primary ministry: Evangelism & Church-Planting, Christian education, Medical Outreach, Agricultural Development, Relief (including housing for orphaned and indigent children), and ministries to youth, children and women. Each of these ministries has a number of special programs and special areas of ministry. The relief ministry, for example, operates orphanages, boy's homes, the Daniel Hoover Children's Village, an adoption program and distributes much needed relief supplies to people displaced by the recent conflicts in parts of West Africa.
ACFI is incorporated in the United States as a non-profit ministry based in Lancaster, South Carolina. Reverend T. Edward Kofi, the founder, is the current president.
