African Christians Fellowship International
African Christians Fellowship International is an independent, evangelical, indigenous church and church-planting fellowship. The fellowship comprises about 280 indigenous churches in seven countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria) of the sub-Saharan region of West Africa. The fellowship is dedicated to reaching the continent of Africa and humanity with the gospel of Jesus Christ in fulfillment of the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Founded in 1986, by Rev. T. Edward Kofi, ACFI has become God's instrument for reaching multitudes of lost souls with the gospel message. ACFI has nine areas of primary ministry: Evangelism & Church-Planting, Christian education, Medical Outreach, Agricultural Development, Relief (including housing for orphaned and indigent children), and ministries to youth, children and women. Each of these ministries has a number of special programs and special areas of ministry. The relief ministry, for example, operates orphanages, boy's homes, the Daniel Hoover Children's Village, an adoption program and distributes much needed relief supplies to people displaced by the recent conflicts in parts of West Africa.
ACFI is incorporated in the United States as a non-profit ministry based in Lancaster, South Carolina. Reverend T. Edward Kofi, the founder, is the current president.
The Daniel Hoover Village Mission School Opens
Submitted by T Edward Kofi on Sat, 09/26/2009 - 21:57We are thankful for God's great provision! It is with joy that we write this letter to let you know that the Daniel Hoover Village Mission School opened on September 15, 2009 with accreditation from the Ministry of Education. For the past few days, children have been arriving, and the spirit around the mission school has been one of great excitement.
The children and families are so thankful to see the new fence up that will provide the children and staff with increased protection. It is also a thrill for the children to see their new bunkbeds, especially since most would not have even a mattress to sleep on if they weren't at the school.
The main need that still exists as they start the new school year is a vehicle to transport teachers to and from the mission each day. Please be in prayer that enough money would be raised quickly to provide for this need.

The students, teachers and caretakers are anxious to begin a new year. They are thankful for sponsors like you who make it possible for them to have food and go to school. They are eager to learn about the love of Jesus and how they can live for Him and make a positive contribution to their country.
Adoptions are still on hold in Liberia at this time. The children who have been matched with adoptive families continue to be in the care of people from ACFI churches. These children are starting school near where they live as well.
Thank you for your continued support on behalf of the children of Liberia!
Welcome to the ACFI blog
